Clutch problems? Transmission problems?
I have a 2004 530 I. it is a manual transmission. I have noticed recently that if I step on the gas while it's in gear that the RPMs shoot up before the car will take off going. What am I looking at?

If that's what it is, new clutch, how much money am I looking at? And if I were to go in and replace the clutch, would you suggest any upgraded modifications instead of the oem?

I stuck with oem clutch. I had it replaced when i was in Germany and paid 300 euro for clutch and with labor and gear oil it came out to just over 500 euro which is approx. $700.
