Fuel filter replacement

Hey guys, I am trying to replace my fuel filter.. it's original, and I have 132k on the clock.. The problem is the hose clamps don't have regular ends on them, they are a weird, almost broken looking end.. how do I remove these? Do I need a special tool? Thanks

I suggest getting them off by any means and immediately having replacements with a standard bolt or screw before you put the new one on. Mines were practically rotted beyond recognition when i did mine a little while back.

Thanks, I'm done now, orig filter shows date of 07 07 2003 so it's def. original.. I realized the orig hose clamps will allow you to remove them with a flat head but they are shaped to where you can't tighten them again.. unless you use pliars.. I had some BMW clamps that would have fit but theyre designed for a double layer coolant hose (all our coolant hoses are hoses in another hose) and they have some spikes that clamp into the outer layer so I didn't trust them and had to reuse the orig. clamps but I was able to tighten them nicely so they are fine.. I am anxious to see if the car runs any better.

I also bought all new O-rings uppers and lowers for all of the fuel injectors, I figure I will replace those too, and now if I have to remove the intake to replace the secondary air hoses I will probably do the coolant pipe and o-rings while I am at it.
