The "can opener" bridge

Yikes! Saw a story on this on the local news tonight. Nicknamed the can opener bridge, a crash like this is said to happen about once a month or so on average. Here's the story on the bridge by the guy who set up the cam a few years ago to capture these. http://11foot8.com/about/

I remember seeing a montage of video from this bridge a while back - they obviously get more and more footage every month!

Here is a bridge that isn't quite as low as this 11 ft 8 in. bridge that we had to go through every day en-route to school in the school bus - they used to get a lot of stuck trucks there - and as you can see, they have since added the lights and the REALLY visible warning signs... the danger of this bridge is compounded by the narrow opening - meaning trucks are almost always taking the middle of the road - you have NO place to go.. accidents of two vehicles getting stuck in opposite directions were common before the lights..
