AFC game

Since I live in the Baltimore MA I figured I should watch the Ravens game. Can somebody explain to me why everybody is cheering ALL THE TIME. I can understand rooting for your team, but if there is a constant CONSTANT noise coming from the stands even if nothing is happening on the field it defies interpretation. Can anyone enlighten me?

Do you a)find their comments useful and/or entertaining? b)ignore them or push the mute button? c)continually scream "You ignorant morons" at the TV? Just wondered.

I'd offer to explain, but clearly it isnt a real question

I must admit, I do wonder at that myself. My guess that at any one moment, there are enough random people hollering out "Go Partiots!" or the like so that it sounds like non-stop noise, which it is.
