New clutch for a 2000 M5
I am needing a new clutch for my 2000 M5. Does anyone have any suggestions on make and model of a clutch? I am not looking to go cheap but I don't want super expensive either.

I'm assuming you're not going stock.
Couple of my M5 buddies have done the UUC clutch kit. It pulls most of the parts from the now retired 850. http://www.uucmotorwerks.com/flywheel/V8/index.htm

How do you drive? How long did the stock last you?
Without those facts, it is virtually impossible to recommend a replacement to meet YOUR needs. I got 98k on the stock, replaced it with stock. For me (on the M5), a UUC would be overkill.

New clutch information needed
Well I tend to drive her hard, ... I mean that's why they built her & that's why I bought her.... BUT I also drive a lot. I have only owned the beast since april this year (bought at 78k) & have just hit (95k) - so 3.5-4.0k miles a month. I also heard that when you do this you need to resurface the flywheel. Have any of ya'all had this experience. I am thinking about going with the HPF Feramic Stage 1 clutch. Please let me know your ideas Also I am interested in having some computer maping done, full exhaust & cold air intake. Thank you Lexi-

LUK is one of the best clutches that you can get. Take a look at our web site and check prices.

I have fun around town and track my car. I just installed a Sach Race Engineering Disc:881864 999518, Pressure Plate: 883082.001243 and M5 thrown out bearing. This setup just hooks up and goes! I do have the JB Racing Lightweight Flywheel.

Your could source this through the shop that did my work:
Car Tender 1706 12th Ave Seattle, WA 98122 ph. (206) 324-0345 Ask for Josh Funston josh@car-tender.com Pilot Bearing, 11211720310 Clutch Plate, 883082001243 Clutch Disc, 881864999518 You may be able to get it for less elsewhere, but these guys stand behind their work like nobody else. Josh has disclosed their mark-up of which I think is fair and I am fine with that. Let's face it, they're in business to make money and I want them to stay in business. Give Josh a call or email and tell him Kevin referred you to him. He will take care of you.

Is your gas mileage worse with a lightweight flywheel?
