2001 bmw 330ci (shuts off while driving)
So, I'm in love with BMW. Ive owned 4 since i was 18. but my current 330ci coupe has been giving me a serious headache. For the last 2 yrs, when i start the car up it has a rough idle. Sometimes, after driving and I put my foot on the brake it has an aggressive "shake" like its having a seizure and will sometimes shut completely off without any warning while I'm driving. Based on my research, it seams as if it may be the HPFP (high pressure fuel pump) Any suggestion on what could be wrong ?????

Is the CEL illuminated?

Did your car ever get the recall for the coils addressed? It was Bremi I believe that had issues in certain 2001-2003 cars IIRC.

Your car doesn't have an HDP. I recommend a diagnoses from a BMW technician

what maintenance did u do on ur car during ur time of ownership?
get it scanned for codes and report back so we can help u out better

You've owned 4 previous BMW's and none of these symptoms have occured in the past? I am shocked, especially at the "rough idle" one.
Like everyone else has said, scan the car for codes, and report back. Welcome to the forum and try the search button as well.
