Just curious: What are the symptoms that you diagnosed as needing a new booster?
I bought a new booster for our 2002 325it because it wouldn't hold vacuum with engine off, even after replacing the check valve (twice; just hoping). But after almost a year, but before I ginned up my nerve to tackle the job (disconnect all brake lines from the master cylinder and re-bleed, etc.), it started behaving normally again. |

It has a loud hissing noise coming from behind the cluster and down in the booster area when hood is open. Also the noise goes away when brake is pressed all the way. Also getting a rough idle and car wants to stall out. Someone mentioned its the member inside the booster that's bad.
