blue smoke
hi i have a 318d and when im sitting there on idle i have blue smoke coming from exhaust but when driving at a steady speed nothing coming out any ideas

you are burning oil. Check for VCG, rear seals and valve stem seals.

I can't see the VCG or rear seal causing smoke out of the tailpipe (under the hood - yes).
In addition to the valve stem seals, it could be the CVV or bad rings. Hope that it's the CVV, aka CCV. |

blue smoke
i found the problem for the blue smoke it was rocker breather filter my next problem is to find out why my car goes into limp mode when i reach about 50mph its fine around town just happens when crusing or accellorating to a high speed ive got a slight whistle on turbo but not smoking anymore hopefully il get there in the endjust like my car it takes time ha ha
