533i Front Seat Swap

the foam is all broken down on my front two seats. Does anyone know of a source for seat foam or about what's invovled with swapping seats from a new model?

Most seat seals are not easy or straightforward. Any good upholstery shop can replace foam, or find a better set. Use good foam from a passenger seat to rebuild your drivers seat.

You can use seats from e28, but before 85 they are non-powered. You can also use seats from a e30 but you have to either buy plates to fit them or make them. The seats are not as wide so you have to add plates to the sides to make them wide enough at the base. You can use e34/e32 seats, but there is a slight mod needed on the front posts to get them to work with the e28. Also you have to wire them up, but there is a good write up on mye28.com
