1990 325 engine wire questions - with pics

Hello,

I just picked up a 1990 325 vert and I noticed that I am missing some wires that should be plugged in to sensors (I think).

And I also found some wires that are not plugged in to anything.

Pic 1.
This shows the 2 sensors on what I think it where the thermostat might be. Nothing is plugged in there and I do not see any wires close by that look like they could be plugged in.

Pic 2.
Close up of some wires I found tucked behind the drivers side headlight. 2 pairs - red and brown and orange and blue. These do not seem to reach the sensors that are not plugged in.

Pic 3.
Full shot of drivers side where wires are.

Pic 4.
Plug found behind passenger headlight.

The car does have a fog light switch but does not have fog lights, maybe some of these are for the missing lights.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Pic 4 is for the fog lights I think.... looked at the wiring diagram for the fogs and it has a yellow and brown on the right side.

Still not sure about the others.....any help would be great.

Even if someone can take a pic of their motor and what color wires are on those sensors that would be great.

Here they are on my 89 325iC. It is hard to tell...your photo 1 is pretty close up but I think this is it. Bad news, I have no idea what they are.

This makes it easier to see where it is, at least.

They are both coolant temperature sensors. The brown one is for the dash gauge, the blue one is for the ecu.

Poster 1's photo looks like a slightly different setup for some reason, maybe just the angle.

It does look slightly different, maybe a change between 89 and 90? Those were the only color coded connectors anywhere even close to there.
