These are the trijicon bright and tough sights with Novak rear, Ryan.

That looks pretty darn good, much better than what the glock sites look like. I'm going to install them tomorrow probably.

I thought for sure I had posted these in this thread, but after skimming through all 9 pages, nope, don't see it (maybe it was the OT thread?), so here it is, my matched set of Colt Diamondbacks, .22 and .38 spl. I bought the box unfinished at a yard sale and carved the Colt logo in the lid. The box is all skinned up from being shuffled around in storage for years.....I really should refinish it. I made the custom-fit felt lined inserts from the original Styrofoam packing that came in the factory boxes. The guns are dirty...we just came in from the range and I hadn't cleaned them yet. I bought these in 1979. Sold them to my boss in 1985, bought them back in 1990.







I had a large revolver collection back in the '80s, most of the current model (then) S&Ws, and a few Colts, but sold all of them to cover the massive co-pay on the hospital bill after my daughter was born a month early. These are the only two I managed to buy back.

haha yea yea yea the yellow colour is from the horrid incandescent lighting and the red curtains in that room. it's a bit... orange in here.

Just came home with a Rock River AR, a couple Pmags, and some .223 rounds. A LGS had a ridiculous shipment come in: 15 RRA ARs, 50 Pmags, 4000 .223 rounds.

Pretty decent prices all around too. Patience paid off twice!

ahh you bastard haha. It's impossible to find an AR in this state for retail

I couldnt believe my eyes. There was another shop that advertised having DPMS and Olympic on the rack this morning. I think i made the right choice.

Also, this is all going on while a big gun show is in town. I couldve turned a nice profit if I wasnt a business man with a conscience.

Been calling around trying to get some more 9mm.

Walmart and Bass Pro are clean out, said they disappear withing a couple hours of hitting shelves. Every LGS around here is fresh out with no time frames. I found ONE place with basic Federal range ammo for $25/box.

i resorted to buying ammo private sale over the border, it's cheaper and easier than going to a retailer.

Uh!!! I want that. It's still a game of chance finding 9mm, .40, or .223 in stores. Most LGS arent selling them at insulting prices, but supply i still falling far short of demand. Let's not even talk about .22lr

I bought 400 rounds of .4o for 120 bucks for a friend discount.

Tried something called Frog Lube today. I was a little sketch on it but the guy recommended it heavily and it was the same price as their cheapy CLP so I figured I'd take a gamble.

Opened it up and really thought I made a bad decision, looked lousy, all crusty and pasty. Instructions said to heat the metal and apply, so I broke out the heat gun. As soon as the stuff touched the hot metal it melted like butter and looked like pretty good lube.

I'm a like concerned about cool lubrication but I guess after just a little bit of firing will be hot enough to lube well.

I don't really see any benefit over basic CLP except that it's less runny, so who knows. Anyone else ever tried it?

buy a bottle of slip 2000 and never use any other type of lube ever again, i used this sh!t on my M4, M240b and M2 .50 cal in afghanistan and never had a fail to fire due to lubrication. it's not oil based so it doesn't gum up or collect dust.
