Good Deal? 2008 335xi
Hi,
I currently have a deposit on a 2008 335xi with 52,000 miles in Monaco Blue, Beige Leather, with Cold Weather Package, Premium Package, Automatic Transmission, Navigation System, On-board Computer and Hi Fi System. The car is certified until November 1st of this year. The price is $22,900 Does this sound like a good deal or should I pass and wait for a newer model? Thanks! |

I checked KBB in case you didn't and the price that came up was 6 grand over your price. Something about that doesn't seem right to me though.. Did it have a carfax?

Yup. It has a clean carfax. The car was very overpriced to begin with and has been sitting on the dealers lot since August... I have driven the car and everything seems to check out. I can't figure out why it has sat for so long.

If it was overpriced that doesn't surprise me, dealerships over price most cars for a good reason. On the lot since August?! That's a little weird. I'd honestly do as much research as possible before purchasing it but it doesn't seem like a bad deal at all.

I honestly think it has something to do with the town that the dealer is in. Most of their clients want to purchase new cars.

Upper class clientele I assume if all they want is brand new. Not a bad thing, bigger advantage for those who don't mind a used car. Just make sure this car has been well maintained inside and out and hasn't missed one single maintenance.
P.s. If you're second guessing whether you should buy this model or wait for something newer, do your research and balance out the pros and cons. Would you be looking for a different model and newer or same model just newer? |

Maybe not possible, but if you are buying it from BMW dealer ask if they would CPO it for a price/fee. The mileage is just a little over 50k-mile threshold for CPO but it's a piece of mind for sure.

The car already has a CPO warranty from the previous owner. It is good through the end of November. At least I would have 10 months to see if anything major was wrong with it. I am also looking at extended warranties beyond this.
I am only looking for a 335xi. The only items in question are auto vs manual and coupe vs sedan. Though, having a 2 year old almost mandates that I have a sedan (easier to get her in her seat) |

you best purchase some kind of extended warranty, have you read some of the other post on here, like just spent 3000 dollars
at the dealer!!!, matrionic sleeve leaking, 2000 to repair and the list goes on. Extended warranties dont cover maintenance items Hondo |
