Tracking production - how long does it take?
I have been tracking my car online for the past 3 weeks and it is still in processing. How long does it typically take to enter production? I also called the 800# and it says no info one when it will enter production.

Ask your CA, he or she should have more details than the BMW online and the 1-800 number.

It depends on the dealer's allocation slots. Are you working with a small volume dealer? My 3 ordered BMW's were always overlaid on stock orders already in the system, modified to my specs. My F10 was ordered (Aug 2010) on a Saturday and went into production the following Monday. Waiting 3 weeks for it to enter production is pretty long, IMO. Call your dealer. There could possibly be a problem with the order specs.

A quick call to my CA got my answer. Ordered mine jan 2 and went into production jan 18 as CA indicated. The wait is killing me

Mine took 7 weeks to enter production and complete. My dealer changed the build in an existing slot but since I chose Dark Red Sycamore (an Individual wood trim) it was pushed off significantly.
Mine finished production yesterday and is waiting to be picked up by transport.

My order was placed on January 19th and it went into production (on the website at least) today (January 27th).
