Did you get an alignment on your F10 yet??

How many miles did you have before you needed your first alignment? Also, what symptom/s made you get an alignment?

My story:
When I had a pulling issue when I first bought my F10 used @ 16,500 miles, a software update and updated steering program fixed it.

I emailed my service adviser about my inner rear tires having uneven wear. I told him that from my understanding, choppy tire wear indicates a possible suspension issue. He said that almost always that is due to an alignment issue. My dealership charges $199 for the alignment. My car is at 18,500 miles now. Thoughts? (btw, 04/11 build).

I had the pulling issue and had just put on a new set of wheels/tires when I first got my F10 (it was a demo). In the effort to fix the pulling issue and to ensure my new tires would wear evenly, I had an alignment performed at the dealer. I paid about $150 as I recall. I would recommend an alignment whenever new tires are installed. My was done at 5000 miles or so.

i figure it should be done once a year. i'll probably have it done once i have my summer tires mounted. as of late, i've noticed it a bit off--but this is the land of potholes. as long as it's not drifting (thank gosh), i'll have them check the car for the state inspection. i may need to balance my snows--potholes can be rough.

as an update my BMW OE winter kit had done a fantastic job.

OE RFT Dunlops Wintersport 3D's on style 281.

i've had about 2ft. of snow in the last 3 days. the snow tires have been flawless going through the snow and slush. ABS never kicks it--as I havent had to jab on it. Car is working flawlessly.

He is correct, it is an alignment issue, not necessarily a suspension issue.

Can doing too many alignments be a bad thing??? Do the parts / bolts, etc. become worn / loose???

Only bad for your wallet unless you do a lifetime alignment at Firestone, NTB or the like.

I've owned 3 BMW's since 2005, and have never needed an alignment on any of them. Never experienced pulling or any other alignment-related symptoms. Had about 36K miles on my 2005, 44K on my 2008 and never replace any tires. Non-sport versions.

Had an alignment done in 2011. The car then pulled to the right. It had to be done over with me sitting in the driver's seat making sure the steering wheel was centered. Because of the new xDrive system it took the technician two hours of going back and forth aligning the the rear and front wheels. I haven't needed another alignment since.

One alignment when I bought my car used with 11K miles to baseline it and another alignment 700+/- miles after lowering spring installation. The car drove perfectly well before and after each alignment. I do rotate and balance my tires every 6K miles/6 months to keep them wearing evenly.

Most BMW F10 have staggering tires set up that cannot be rotated. Got my alignment done by BMW when they changed stock springs to Dinan springs.

Deep - weren't you thinking about lowering with ACS springs this year? Maybe this is a good excuse to add them now?

Wouldn't want to pay for an alignment twice in one year.
