How To Make Convertible Top Manual.
New to the BMW club just got a e36! In the future I was wondering if i could make the convertible top manual instead of buying a new motor for it? (Sorry i don't have $500.00 just laying around) I know this topic has gone around more than a few and sorry for asking once again.

The '95 is a manual top already, otherwise maybe a semi auto top?
Take a look at the sticky in this forum for convertibles, and read the documents attached. As an exercise for the reader, you can find out for yourself. Hint: the answer is yes.

If it's a semi-automatic top (has the manual release for releasing the top from the windshield frame), yes there are several DIY's floating around on how to do it.
