328i Jerky in D when warm - Video
So yesterday, my car threw a "P13B6" code that nobody seems to know anything about. Today, this happened:
Only when put into D while holding the brake, for a few seconds. Drives fine otherwise. Thoughts? Video: Last edited by ptrcd003; 01-23-2013 at 10:44 PM. |

What do you mean by idle sensor? I've found a few other people who had a similar issue and it turned out to be the eccentric shaft sensor. What/where exactly is this "idle sensor"?

I actually have the same error, on my 07 328i w/ about 55k miles and it has only come on very cold days. When the SES light initially came on about 2weeks ago, it was about -5 F outside. I drove the car for a week and it was totally fine, the light went out after 4-5 days. It stayed that way for another week and just came on again when we had another day near 0 F.
I'm wondering if that idle sensor is affected by cold!? The car drove fine and still drives fine, it doesn't idle rough at all like in your video either! ptrcd003 - has your SES light gone off and come back on at all? |

The issue hasn't re-occurred, but I'm going to take it to a mechanic to see if there are any other pending codes. And there is no such thing as an "idle" sensor, so that isn't the issue here.

Mine does exactly the same thing, only not as drastic and I don't have any codes.
Can you update this thread if/when you find a resolution? |
