Hard shift into 2nd., manual, 635
Recently purchased 85, 635 manual shift with 128000 documented miles. The previous owner had the shifter changed to a short shifter. Shifting from 1st. to 2nd. it is a little hard shifting into 2. All other shift as they should. Anyone else experienced this? Could this be a shifter issue or deeper?

How did it shift before the short shifter was installed? (Ask the previous owner) You lose leverage with a short shifter, so naturally the shifting will get harder. Maybe you have a second gear synchro on the way out.
