INPA Error API 0014 Result not found
I've been using INPA on a 2006 750i and today I noticed that when I went into the readiness screen an error message popped up and said API 0014 Result not found. I then checked INPA on a 04 745i and the screen appeared and working well. I found a help file that said 3.12 EDIABAS Error 134: API-0014: Result not found
The error occurs if a SGBD is loaded in the Tool Set when the diagnosis protocol UDS is being used and the Job FS_LESEN is being executed. Reason: You use the setting “read error like INPA”, but the Toolset can’t support the function yet for UDS-SGBDs. Solution: Please remove the setting “read error like INPA” in the menue “configuration -> Toolset”. I'm not sure how to uncheck this setting but I don't get this error message when I'm on the 04 745 I. Any suggestions? I think there maybe an issue with my 2006 obd2. I put my autel code reader on and couldn't get the vin of the obd2. I then went to the gas station and the state computer was reading a few monitors as not ready. I then went to another Indy shop and they put a obd2 reader on and they got n/a on 9 monitors. For some reason, I'm thinking that my obd2 got messed up but why can't my code reader get the right information on the readiness monitors.

Not that ill have an exact answer just trying to get more info on this.. Can you open the engine dme and read codes and see live sensor data or are there any modules that cannot be communicated with individually with inpa? Any other weird behavior in the cars electronics? Any errors you know of being stored?
I ask the former because miscommunication with the Central gateway module can lead to a lot of strange things with the obd port. Also was wondering if you had ever communicated with the06 at all and was wondering if maybe your inpa wasnt the most updated as it can be? Just some questions and maybe a few others who use inpa can drop In as well

I've been using INPA on the 06 for over a year with no issues. This is the first time that I got this this API error in the readiness screed but this screen works well in the 04 745 so I think the program is ok. I have no issues using INPA for reading the other screens.
My autel obd2 gave my 06 a faulty reading and it couldn't read the vin. We had the car worked on for a week so the battery was disconnected. The state inspection report was giving 2 monitors as not ready so the autel didn't read the obd2 correctly. I checked the autel on the 745 and it worked like it should so I'm leaning towards a problem with the 06 obd2 since I can't get a true monitor reading with the autel. This is the first time I'm getting stumped. I almost bought another autel but instead put another obd2 reader on it and I got 9 n/a which is weird.

Has the car been driven alot since? Most of the monitors on my car took 500+ miles before they all finished being ready... Then again does your reader read as na or not ready when you check and its not ready? Im under the assumption that they normally read not ready but the reader ive checked mine on wasn't the same as yours so i dont know, i thought na was only for monitors that aren't applicable to that specific car in which case id be inclined to say that there is a communication issue somewhere along the line

I know about the 500 miles to reset but my issue is that I've used 2 different obd2 readers and 1 reader gave false positives and the other gave n/a. I'm thinking that it got locked up somehow unless I accidentally changed a setting in INPA that is causing this mishap.
The fact that I'm now getting an error message on the readiness screen is weird since I only get this error message on the 06 not the 04. Maybe it will clear itself after I drive it for a while. I had to reset INPA for misfires in several cylinders and I also reset an airbag light as well. I'm going to try Inpa tonight. Any suggestions?

If you just reset recently id give it some time and see if it clears up and until then wait and see

I believe that I checked the codes with INPA and then cleared them instead of using the Autel. The Autel must think that there are no codes. I'll give it 500 miles and see what happens.
