300K Club!

I've only had this for six months or so but "ED" turned over this milestone on the way home from a a sales call.

not bad, my V12 hasn't even hit 100,000 miles yet! but the body of the car done approx 250 miles, VERY high milage for down here in New Zealand. doesnt look like its done half of that mind.

Not my first, but my first in a long time. This is my 4th overall. You sound like my wife, "you bought a car with how many miles?" and it's 20 years old. Still out to prove her wrong. The pride of ownership is something that I haven't felt in a long time. I stopped telling my buddies how old it is and how little I paid for it and just let them admire the old guy. Funny as it was turning 300k yesterday, an E60 M5 blew by and gave me the thumbs up.

My niece's boyfriend just bought a 2013 Lexus ct200h. It's got a 130hp and is a hybrid...basically a Prius with fancy clothes on. i don't know who he thought he was but he just started tearing my 530i down. Right then and there I wanted to give him a shiner and tell him that my gas guzzling V8 will outlast his fancy Prius in the long run. Just like you, I SOOOOOO want to prove him wrong....but we'll see in another 20 years haha. My car only has 98K miles on it too so it's got TONS of life left. I'm thinkin' it'll get rusty and fall apart before the engine dies. Probably a trans swap in the distant future but the AT is still going strong.

He'll leave it at the curb in 3-5 years when he has to replace the $6k battery. and you'll just have another 50K miles

^My thoughts exactly haha. It was like an overnight change for him. I helped him buy an awesome 95 Accord when he was in school. It still ran like a beast when he had it. Then he got the Lexus and became all pretentious and I was like WTF man? Just cuz you own a lexus, doesn't mean jack! I brewed over it for such a long time. Mind you, I was well in the "luxury" automotive arena long before he bought his Lexus. First with my Infiniti, then with the 5'er. GRRRRRR!!!! haha damn Lexus owners.

It'd be one thing if he was picking on my G37. Then I'd be like whatever, we both know who's got the nicer car, right? But he specifically called out the 5'er because of it's age and it's MPG. Then he laughed at my wife's 2010 Mitsu Outlander when I started it up! Dude, it's got a 168 hp 4 cyl motor. WHAT DO YOU EXPECT?! It can still hit 0-60 faster than he can...but I digress...haha. So the lesson here is, don't make fun of others because you own a bimmer...or a lexus...or an infiniti. In the words of Tyler Durden "you are not special!"

Long time viewer first time member. My 93 525iA has 335,210 miles and I drive her every day. As a small dealer I mainly dabble in BMWs. I've had many E46 Coupes and Sedans, E39 Sedans. Your site has been invaluable to my growing fond feelings for BMW. I've been driving my E34 for a year and spend most weekends tinkering in the garage kinda like spending time with my girlfriend (yea I'm married) I love this car more than any I've had get more looks and compliments as this to me is the iconic BMW look of all models. The only real issues I'm dealing with now are the intermittent Trans Program and Central Locking/Windows/Wipers not working. My son joined your site and has had a few BMWs and now has an 08 135i 59k on the OD We just installed a JB4 tune on the car and it now puts out 430 HP at the crank and is faster than a stock M3 simply amazing. Here's a few pics of my E34. I have many more. I'd like to make a donation and get 2 of those sweet bimmerfest window stickers.

Can't tell you how many "I love/like/want your car!"s I've gotten.

That's when I sincerely defecate on my friends struggling to keep their Ford with 150k running.
