Question Can you connect stock CD Changer to Aftermarket Stereo?

Good morning everyone.

My factory radio died so I bought a new Kenwood 255U and installed it. Works great. Piece of cake but in giving my 1997 318i Convertible a very thorough cleaning I discovered that I have a stock CD Changer in the trunk! I never knew this ... so, my question is: is there a way to hook up the CD Changer to the new aftermarket stereo? I've done a little digging and the answer seems to be "No." but I want to double check. Perhaps someone out there has the expertise to accomplish this? If so, that would be great.

Thanks in advance for any and all information or advice.

I've never seen or heard of it being done successfully, so the short answer is still no.
