New Style of Bosch Ignition Coils

I don't know if anyone has run in to this problem, I wanted to replace the coils on my E66, so I tried ordering the old version the Bosch coils " the ones with the metal sleeves" since nearly everyone selling them is showing a pictures of the old version , I keep receiving the new style , all black and rubberized. The reason I want the old ones is that they seem to snap on the spark plug, if you look inside you can see a brass colored cap, the new version seems to have a pin that is touching the top of the spark plug, it's not even spring loaded and I get the feeling that the coils is floating and causing arcing between the plug & coil. I even replaced the plastic coil holders with new ones. I measured the difference between the old and new coil and the pin in the new style coils sits about 1/16 lower than the older confirming that the new style of coils is floating, am I dreaming or is this normal.
I did buy a set of Bosch (8) at CarId for $190.00 delivered, so I'm debating trying to modify them or just return them and get a set of Bremis that are like the old style.
If anyone has ran into this problem, I would appreciate your feedback.
