Speedometer Calibration?

Does anybody know of a way to actually calibrate our speedometers more accurately?

I'm assuming it's the same for all (maybe all `97s). My speedometer consistently reads 6 MPH fast. As an electronic components, is there an adjustment that can be made in the software (NCS expert perhaps) to adjust the calibration?

No. The instrument is designed to read fast, as high as 10+ MPH. Mine is +5 at actual 75 (reads 80).

You could muck around with NCSExpert but I'd advise against that. If you want to park it dead on the limit, get a GPS (wheel speed sensors are going to be inaccurate anyways). If you're like most people and you speed, take it for what it is and thank BMW next time you get a ticket for 10 over when you were doing 15.

Typing /speedometer F3 in the bestlinks nets the following:
- BMW speedometer reads higher than actual speed (E39) (E90) (X5) (6-series) (MINI)
