Grill Replacement

Has anyone figured out if you can just pull the grills out on the X1 from the front yet? In a search, I saw where BMW service techs were popping out the old ones and popping the new ones back in within minutes on other models. Wondering if anyone ever tried it with the X1.

When I painted mine, I found it MUCH easier to unfasten the tabs from the inside.

You can use some sort of hooked tool to pull the tabs from the front. I used a bird feeder extension hook that I happened to have handy and got them off without much trouble. I was swapping them out for a gloss blackout set, though, so I knew exactly where the tabs were without having to hunt around for them.
