Engine Harness

Anybody have a dummies guide for reconnecting the TPS, Knock and all the other engine top connectors? I just did my intake gaskets and thought the connectors would be logical, Nope. I've got everything reconnected except for half a dozen.

Actually once you figure out the knock connectors, the rest is fairly straight forward. Only one left, the intake temperature connector. I had a loud tapping sound for a while, something fell in the intake? or a stuck value, but it went away. My stomp code is now 1444. Emissions test next!

M60B30 engine

Thanks

I made this mistake with my S52 engine swap. Only way for you to be sure is to get ohmeter and wiring diagram. Check for continuity between connectors on engine harness plugs and the main DME connector. It takes time but only way to be sure you are getting it right. Half a dozen connectors will not take that long.

Passed emissions! Thank you Jesus! With the check engine and the SRS light on? Damn intake temp connection is wonky. Apparently 95 is the cut-off year for automatic fail for a check engine light. Florida next, no inspection.

Yours probably only needed safety inspection. Down here in NC 96+ are obd2, and are scanned, and do fail with an engine light, but 95 and under only need safety inspection, and after like 35 years there are no inspections on them.
Glad you got done what you needed, good news.
