Why no "Orion Silver" for the 35 D ?
Really love this color ..but could not get it on the build site for the 35d .. Just cant see the reason ?

Really strange! It also doesn't seem available on the base model either. Must be one of those hot new colors that they hope will gravitate people towards the more expensive trims.
(At first I was not a fan of this color, but then I saw one on the road and it was gorgeous.)

Sure; $5K surcharge and a 90-150 day order cycle on special paint.
I was going to get my 650 in Orion but kept seeing the same color on Camrys everywhere so I switched to Alpine White

they must have just taken it off.
when i built my 2013 X5 35i in Dec, that color was still on the website if memory serves me correctly

I am told by my CA that Orion Silver can be ordered on a X5 35d as a Priority 1 option.

Dealer can order it. I will be getting it next week. Orion Silver X5-35D

KZang .. I presume P1 Option are paid options. I got my 35D with Orion Silver color "no cost". How I am sure of the "no cost" as IO changed my color one day after the deal was done, and no additional cost was added to the deal.
BTW I got the 2013 X5-35D, Orion Silver/Sand Beige, with Premium+Technology packages for $54200 + taxes

Priority 1 options are just custom options.. Whether it cost more or not depends on type of the custom option and or packages.
For your order, it maybe that this color is now available for the D models. I don't know for sure.

Our 50i Deep Sea Blue Metallic was a priority color. The two other colors that are priority one on a 50i & a 35i = Vermilion Red Metallic & Orion Silver Metallic. 35d = Deep Sea Blue & Vermilion, you would think one could order Orion Silver on a 35d per BMW NA approval, especially since there was a recent change, model year 2013?
