e46 1999-2001 bmw 328i vs 330i

Hey guys im a first time buyer i just turned 16 and i need some help choosing between either a e36 328i e46 328i or a 330i. I'm a BMW fan always been and i want something that handles really good i just cant make my mind up. Any tips and personal opinions will be greatly appreciated. thanks in advice for all the help.

A BMW (*ANY* BMW) is always a questionable call as a first car....they require higher-than-average maintainance and repairs, and just because they`re (getting) older, that doesn`t mean that parts are any cheaper. If you have decent mechanical skills, some basic tools, a jack, safety stands, and a place to work on the car, you can save a bunch of money by DIYing a lot of the jobs. Even so, you should budget at least $1500 a year, judging by what goes wrong with these cars.

Go have a look around the E46 Forum, *especially* the E46 Wiki, it will answer a lot of the questions you haven`t even thought of yet....
