Passenger Door Problem?

Hello everyone! First off, I wanted to mention how happy I am to be a part of Bimmerfest. I have owned several BMWs and felt that it was time to be a part of something on a larger scale. So again, I am very happy to be here. Hopefully, I can chat with individuals who are "in tuned" with BMWs.

Well, on a sad note, last week I locked the car doors on my 2004 745Li prior to going into the grocery store. When my wife and I returned to the car, I unlocked the doors but my wife couldn't open the passenger door from the outside, however it could be opened from the inside. Would anyone know what the root cause of this could be? Any input, remedy, or advice would gladly be appreciated! Thanks in advance!
