OBD and OBDII ports

Hi all,

Can anyone tell me if a 2002 3.0 Z3 has an engine compartment OBD port as well as the OBDII port in the cabin beneath the steering wheel?

I have recently purchased a B800 SRS airbag reset tool which keeps giving me an error E10 when I try to diagnose the fault through the OBDII port. I have read somewhere on the Internet that I should try it through the 20 Pin OBD port in the engine bay.

Has anybody else had this problem with the SRS airbag tool?

Thanks in advance

The under-hood 20-pin connector is big and round and is next to the engine over the exhaust manifold. It has a screw-on cap over it. It is completely different from a standard OBD connector, although many of the functions are accessible at it.
