What Wheel/Tire Package are you running on your E89
My 2009 35i has a mint condition set of OEM wheels:
BMW OEM, 293, Multi Spoke wheels, TPMS and brand new (700 miles) Bridgestone Potenza RFT tires Front- 18 x 8 front Tires- 255 30R18 Rear-18 x 8.5 Rear 255 40R18 I am considering selling these wheels and tires and going to a new set of 19" s. What is everybody running? Down side to 19's? Rougher ride? I see everybody dumping the RFT's but these were just put on at purchase. Rougher ride- YES but safety in case of a flat- YES. Toss up for me. Going from18's to 19's- does this effect the rest of my 4 Year/50K warranty? Does this effect the speedo reading? I would not think so as BMW offers 19's as standard. Who is the best to help determine the correct offset? I have never put on a set of wheels/tires that require offset so I am un familiar with the whole issue. I mostly under stand it positions the wheel and tire correctly on the hub to stop rubbing etc. Help here is appreciated. Any deals from this site/site vendors? Pictures of your Z (with wheels) are appreciated.

Just had two new rear wheels installed at no cost due to cracks. Ditching the BS RFT's and going for Michelin Pilot Super Sports 235/40-19 (F) & 265/35-19 (R) on my 296's. A little wider & taller. Still think the 296's are some of the best looking BMW wheels - with the updated rears no more crack fears.

I had my dealer remove the BS RFTs at delivery in the US. Sold them to a guy who needed new tires in order to turn in his 335i at the end of his lease. I had enough money to buy a set of Yokohama ENVigor UHP AS tires from Tirerack. I had them shipped to my dealer and then mounted and balanced them on my OEM 18" staggered wheels. I am running the OEM sizes, 225-40-18 front and 255-35-18 rear. I have about 8000 miles on my car with no issues. Tires provide decent handling, decent ride and decent performance in all weather including light snow. The latest generation RFTs are getting better but I still prefer non-RFTs.
