I like it but I think you should tint the windows darker.

I get the feeling that a lot of people on this forum won't like anything unless BMW tells them it looks good but offering it as a factory option.

Is it just me that thinks this thread is beginning to take on the tone of a wife/girlfriend asking whether her jeans make her a$$ look too big?

Hmmm...and if one agrees, they risk being labeled as a "tool" or "kool-aid drinker"; if they disagree, they risk being labeled as a "tool" or "kool-aid drinker".

No, no, no.
Did I mention no?
Sorry, it takes everything away from the beauty of this car.

I agree.

The first couple of pics look so majestic and striking, just the right amount of contrast, etc. It looks expensive. The matte version all blacked out IMO doesn't look as "majestic" or expensive, but it looks raw and aggressive in that kind of crude way that people go for when going matte.

To me, going matte is kind of like when a beautiful girl puts tattoo's all over herself, like purposefully scarring something beautiful (even with art, etc.), something you own, because it's yours and you *own* it (even if you Lease which then "own" becomes more of a metaphor).

I get it, the artistic nature of it, but with cars I just have never liked the matte black look (love matte white though), looks too dulled and "primer" to me sometimes.

How much did it run, BTW? I always wanted to like matte black since I figured it would be the best option to do if you ever needed a paint job, or wanted something durable and easy to maintain.... problem is, I don't know if it's easier to maintain or more durable, seeing as to how you can't "buff out" scratches or fill in chips to the vinyl, and changing entire panel pieces might result in color mismatching (from the rest getting treated differently, under sun and elements, etc.), and you can't "paint match", etc. Definitely please update on the durability of it and congrats on the new mod (always a cool feeling).

I love it!! Maybe a little touch of red somewhere to spark it off. I have no idea where but you know like some Ferraris have the yellow lettering on the brake calipers. Something like that to kind of break up the all black a little. Anyways not knocking it at all. I love the matte look still.
