Some sites say yes, like Pelican and ebay. Others no, like Summit and World Pak.
So is there one ? If so where the heck is it ???

I didn't look at the thread, but typing /TPS F3 found this which might help:
- How to diagnose and replace the TPS throttle position sensor (1)

Your car has an electronic throttle control. There is a box on the accelerator pedal, and one on the throttle body. They work together, in concert with the DME, to control throttle position, based on the pedal position. The box mounted on the throttle body has an electric motor to control the throttle plate. Either module has been known to fail, and cannot be repaired, only replaced.
Why do you ask? Read mylo's post, and go here: www.realoem.com

Pedal has to be pushed a fair way to respond, also my idle it around 400, and the car has stalled a few times pulling into a driveway. Its an auto.
Noticed last night if my lights are on it goes up to 520ish. Car had a new battery. |

Sameo, sameo, more or less
Don't want to hijack this tread, but I have a 2000 540i and think maybe I have TPS issues. Have noted that you can't repair, just replace. My car at 74K miles, just recently have replaced plugs, O2 sensors (front), MAF and FSR (this made some difference). There is still kind of a disconnect between the pedal and the CAR. Even to the point sometimes of mild bucking. If you are really on it, meaning say 3/4 throttle, all is good. Would love to hear someone weigh in on this. I am pretty close to replacing the throttle body and see what gives. Thanks all for your input!

99-03 M62tu's have elec throttle body as edjack suggest. TSP sensor is inside. I believe there is 2 TSP sensors in it. Also as edjeck suggest you have to replace throttle body. Did one on my 540 about 2 years ago. I think it was $175ish for new one from EAC. Fixed symptoms you discribe.

The electronic drive by wire throttle body has plastic gears in the servo box on the side which wear out on occaison. Remove the intake elbow and check to see if there is slop in the throttle body plate. I believe it was Justin that replaced his recently and noted better throttle response and smoother idle.
