While I like the color a lot more than my original white one, the color of the rims seems really out of character with the color of the car. I was thinking about getting them powder coated black, anyone have any suggestions and or pictures for doing this?
Why would you want to power coat those rims? 230 wheels were the best for coupe. Love the shadow trims on space gray.

My next vehicle would be a Zamboni

Thanks, I think.....Someone thinks I'm rich!

Honestly, it was the only shop I priced and is the shop the local BMW dealer contracts for body work. In that regard, I figured they'd do good work. I know I could do better if I shopped around but am learning to like my wheel color (for free).

Castings well known to be treacherous water, powder-coating-wise.
They were either going to abrasive blast or chemical strip the rim, I forget which. Then they were going to degrease the rims and powder coat the rims. There could have been more steps but I did not ask them for an in-depth description of the process.
Before I got the quote I did some research online to find a price. The quote I got seemed consistent with the prices I found online.

Hahaha, thank you for that! Made my night.

Putting surf racks on that work of art, just seems... wrong...
