What color to go with?

Im going to have my exhaust tips painted gloss black!
i thought that having my front and rear reflectors the painted the gloss black color would look good too!
Almost like a mini mod, compared to getting space grey ones and blending them in..those r kinda boring even though they look fantastic that way

Has anyone done the same? Put different color inserts other than their car color. pics if u have em!
preferably black to match my kidneys and shadowline trim.

ps a member pf this forum told me be careful cause it could turnout like its a double tip like the Lexus F series sedan........actually a great point.
we certainly dont want that crazy look!

I've seen some white x5's that have black reflector inserts. I can find it if you want.

I still prefer to match the color of your paint.

Whats the status of the interior carbon wrap?

The Black paint on the reflectors seems unique, but it also seems as though someone scratched your paint precisely lol. Either black or Space grey, its gonna look fine!

Carbon wrap is on hold
It is so frigin time consuming to remove the trim, which since 2011 everything has to be removed from behind the door panels and under console and even glove box. only 2 pieces are clips...yikes
bmw wanted 14 hours of labor just to remove and i cant get an independent shop to touch it...not even Don Nguyen
people know how expensive it is to replace if they crack it

If you ever have parked in a city, you`ll notice the lines of cars with black lines around the bumper. These lines are a result of people scratching the bumper, and the base coat being revealed. If you paint them black, from a distance, at least to me, it will seem as though someone deeply scratched your paint, where the reflectors are. However your plan is to use a gloss finish. It should take that scratched look away, so its not an eyesore. So IMO either gloss black or space grey looks good.

Just in case you missed mine. Not space grey, but platinum grey with standard body and painted inserts and matte black tips.

Brought it back to old school not gangsta jessie james matte black

I didn't like how they the after market ones stick out of the fender!

Sorry man, I just saw it tonight. I did the same with mine, no chrome, just shadowline, grills, trim and exhaust. I'd like to do the roof rails too, but it's too much of a pain, wish we could have been able to order shadowline rails from the factory.

Gloss black really is good. Better than expected (looks like you have tinted mirrors down in the reflectors)

Please post a pic with the entire vehicle, wanna see how they look with msport

De-badged and blacked out exhaust and reflectors....rear brake light tint next!
