Buying Advice

Did not see a specific area on this forum dedicated to buying "best deals" for a current M3 - any thoughts on where I could find such info. thanks and I apologize if I overlooked it.

What do you mean by current? Are you looking for a new or used vehicle? There are several dealers in this and other forums that offer very good deals on the purchase of new cars, just search. With E92 production ending in June, production slots are limited so you better get moving if you want one!

Looking at New. I understand the run is ending - but dealers have cars inbound for spring.

I also wonder if this is the worst time to buy - given the new m3/m4 will be out in 18 months - will the v8 m3 be quickly devalued?

It's the first (and potentially last) V8 powered M3 to ever be produced. It will probably devalue just as any other car, but I'd speculate they will hold value reasonably well.

Thinking about doing European Delivery? Read about my ED experience. Best trip, ever.

The first guys to the BMW newly introduced trough usually get slaughtered.

When the M4 is introduced - "deals" will not exist - you will be paying sticker. Moreover, newly introduced BMWs usually come - at no additional charge - with an array of bugs. Bottom line - you are going to pay more for a car that will have problems.

IMO it is a great time to lease an e 92 M3 for 36 months. Not only will you get to experience one of the finest BMWs ever, but at the end, you will have the option to buy, or say bye bye, and get a more or less sorted out M4 at a discount.

If you talking used then itís wide open, many cars built and lots of potential deals out there. Youíre up north so you might want to consider a southwest car, there are tons out here.
If youíre looking new I would recommend contacting one of the board sponsors. They are willing to work with you to get your business and they will let you know what the states of things are regarding availably. I would not delay, if you want the current version there are posts out there that the supply is starting to tighten and even reports of very few allocations remaining.

Good luck

I would also support not considering currently the new M4, to many unknowns and likley bugs to fix. Youll drive yourself crazy in the wait also.
