McGuinness 2 - Buyer beware!

Be very careful when buying from McGuinness2 in Orlando Florida. I purchased my 2003 BMW 760li from Rosa and Jimmy over the phone. Rosa mentioned that the car was in excellent mechanical condition, that the tires were in great shape, and that the Navigation DVD is included. Received the car, had to buy an entire new set of tires, the car has a misfire, which so far has cost over $1,000 and is still not fixed yet. Currently seeking legal action given her misrepresentation of the vehicle. They will not work with you when things go bad. Buyer beware.

why didn't u have the car checked out before u bought it?

because you know those used car salesmen are honest!

and since u have a 760, i am pretty sure the misfire could be from the the high pressure fuel pumps

and they cost about $3000 each and u have 2 of them and thats without labor.

You are right, I should have had it checked out! From speaking to the guy at the BMW dealership and my mechanic both are thinking it's not the HPFP (but if it is, I found them for $2,000 each + labor). Mechanic said he wants to clean the injectors first

Well you're car is still on their site... Tires looks good, unless pics are deceiving. You should save out all the pics from their website in case you need them.,

Thanks, I checked the site it's a different car. The car itself is a gorgeous car...just wish I had known about the issues. I did save all the pictures. Also, we spoke on a recorded line when she mentioned no mechanical issues.

I would take it to the BMW dealer for an inspection (for a fee).. they will let you know what's wrong with it in written form, it could work in your favor since she said there was no mechanical issues. Good luck and post some pics.

Some courts will want you to ask the seller specific questions on what's wrong. Like you have to ask "Do the trans operate as it should". "Do the alternator leak". Just asking if the car is sound is too general. Just my 2cents

Thanks, and I did - which is also on a recorded line. I asked specifically about the engine, specifically about the tires, etc.

Bummer! I'm from Florida as well,...too bad our state's Lemon Law DOESNT include Used Vehicles.
