Oil issues or not?

went to dealer for oil change. few days later notice a drop or two on ground in the morning. took car back and was told they checked the filter and cap, no leaks but they did find alternator gasket and oil pan gasket were leaking ($1,700) and light seepage from valve cover gasket and upper timing case gaskets ($2,100). My car is 2008 with 96,000 miles, mostly highway in Florida. Is this normal? Seems pretty pricey. Any thoughts would be much appreciated.

That sounds about right for that mileage. Pricey, but dealers usually are.

andydj, Depending on how bad the leak is you probably have some time to do some research. Just don't F around and put any "leak-stop" stuff in your car.

KaileSvick, I assume that is your car in the sig block? Do you have more pictures? I like that look from that picture.

I'm having my valve cover gaskets done at my indy today. They are charging me 600 dollars including parts and changing my spark plugs.
