Dealers can order a 2014 X1 as of today. -- But it's a bit of blind ordering due to the lack of some information, but you should be able to qualify for the $500 holiday cash if you order today, and it's unlikely there will be a better promotion for many months.

Dealer guides are not out so it's not possible to know what standard features changed but on the xDrive35i there's no 2xa more paddle shifter option, the m-sport package does allow a 7xa paddle shifter option though.

There's a new concierge option as well on the xDrive35i but paddle shifters and the bmw apps aren't available as stand alone option anymore.

Correction, ti does appear there is a 7xa option for m-sport paddle shifter but there is no 2xa paddle shifter option.

I asked a trusted sales manager and he didn't have the info yet, didn't see anything about ordering a 2014 X1. I hope the details are clear soon

Farkled: Strange, I was able to get one ordered and 'in the bank' today... ... It was mainly due to a good SA who was watching for it tio happen and noticed the 2014 ordering was available in the dealer systems this morning and he called me to get the order in.

s420merc, I didn't ask about color, I'm a boring color person. My guess is though colors won't be changing as nothing is really changing at all on the model year. Give your dealer a call and see what they say and let us know though...

That is strange that you could order a 2014 and he wasn't aware. So since you actually ordered do you know what the concierge is? Did the order system let you spec the car or is t just an allocation?

Yes, the system let you spec out the car completely, all packages and options were there and configurable.

I didn't ask him about concierge really, he read off the available options and I heard it and recognized it was new (and realized the paddle shifter and bmw apps were gone from the options page). Concierge is talked about here though: http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=267744

BMW centers can order bank 2014 X1's- correct. No allocations yet. So if you're looking to do ED, you'll be on stand by until we get allocation.

Holiday Cash expired yesterday and was only applicable to 2013's, not 2014's. Programs haven't come out for those models so I trust you're client advisor didn't misinform you.

Well, it was worth a shot at least. My CA did say there's a chance it won't work but as he read it he thought there might be a chance and was going to try and see.

Okay, some more information as I've got my build sheet now.

It still has code 205 for the transmission which google says is the 6 speed transmission (sorry for those hoping it was going to be the new 8 speed) and the servotronic steering is still standard on the 35i.

There are a few codes I wasn't expecting.
DVD area coding
BMW Assist eCall
BMW TeleServices

In the 2013 build configurator there's a $600 option for "BWM Assist with enhanced bluetooth". I don't recall my CA mentioning this option when he read the 2014 options page but before I assume it's now standard, can someone confirm if these codes are installed in all cars but only activated if with a $600 license key?

I also am not getting iDrive so I'm confused why there's DVD area coding. Doesn't make sense if I have the standard CD radio... Again, curious if anyone knows if this was a build code on non idrive X1's.

I wish they can add heated steering wheel on the M sport line, and HD radio...

Is it possible to share he build sheet here? Can't wait to see the changes and start planning my trip. Thanks!

I think so. On the business radio, HD radio may be disabled by default.

This is for a no-trim xDrive35i WITHOUT iDrive. I'm wondering if iDrive is now standard because you'll see there's a code for dvd region setting which makes no sense to me if it has the bmw business radio. Also the eAssist and teleServices codes are in the base. I'm not sure if these are always in an X1 and it's an activation code required for $xxx.xx to activate them or if they're now standard as well.

I thought the base price and package pricing was going to change? At least there was supposedly a price bump starting in the new year. I want a pretty loaded car and have a feeling that when all is said and done the cost will be similar - I hope anyway since I do not want to wait for a delayed delivery, potentially May for the 2014s to west coast...

the .6% price incase hit yesterday, it increased the 2013 base $150.00 Options pricing didn't change at all for the 20 items I checked.

So if anything ordered after mid-Jan will be a 2014, & production starts in March, when should 2014 orders start arriving in the U.S/Canada? Mid April?

Tried to price 2014 X1 from dealer today, but they still can't see it in the system.

Other post said ED 2014 allocation would only start from March, then it will be very tight for May/Jun delivery. Is that true?

Both ED and standard order 2014 X1's can go through today. Either dealers have their March 2014 X1 allocations or the X1 was removed from dealer allocation requirement (Not sure which). If you had problems ordering before, it should be fine now.

Also, it appears a base xDrive28 has the DVD region coding so either all X1's have iDrive standard (Unlikely) or it's just standard code description changes (more likely).
