Replacing side mirror
Hello, I am new to the forum.
I have a question about replacing the drivers side mirror on my daughters E90. How do I remove the mirror from the door? |

the back cover can be pulled out with your fingers (three finger at the bottom of cover you face backward looking at rear of the car and gently pull... 10 sec job) .... very easy, then remove mirror once cover is out

Thanks for your reply! I have gotten that far, now I need to know how to remove the entire assembly from the door.
A student at my daughters school broke the entire mirror off of the car. I purchased the replacement and need to know if i have to remove the door panel to gain access to the backside of the mirror. |

FYI mirror pod replacement diy
http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...DIY+door+panel
Things to be aware of The car will be awake with the doors open and this can drain the battery . You may need to recharge it after if you don't dissconnect it. The drivers side door switch pod has a lever which you throw to get it out . You must be sure to have it all the way reseated before you throw the lever its a good idea to test the switch before you put the panel back in . Since I installed and aftermarket stereo kit I have some experience with the door panel stuff . You will probably need some spare plastic door panel fastners and they are cheap. Take picture of the trim on each door before you take it apart so you don't drive yourself nuts wondering if its aligned right. Last edited by ctuna; 01-31-2013 at 12:11 PM. |

Are we talking about and electric adjustable mirror
Are we talking about and electric adjustable mirror pod.
If the pod got hit hard it will be scratched and the mechanics and electrics will be destroyed.( the pod and the mirror are probably fubar) Last edited by ctuna; 01-31-2013 at 02:55 PM. |
