Lease swap 2012 328i - is this a good deal?

I've found a guy that wants to get rid of his 2012 328i. The car is only two months in the lease, Sport w/ Premium, Technology, Lighting, Shift paddles & Heated front seats.
No money down, just take over a monthly payment of $475 (inc tax) for another 34 months, w/ 12k miles a year.

How does this sound to you? Anything I should be paying special attention to?

Sounds like a pretty good payment. BMWFS makes lease assumptions pretty painless. Is the car in Cali? Monthly sales tax could change if it's in a different locale.

Good deal and nice spec on the car. I'd go for it, you are covered by warranty for any issues.

How many miles has he used?

That's a great deal, car should be at least $100 more per month with that configuration. He must have put around $4,000 down which you're not going to pay.

The car is in LA and so am I, so no tax surprises there. It has 1,250 miles on her, I saw it - it's brand new.

The really WEIRD thing is the guy told me he put only $500 down. I have no idea how he got this deal and that's why I'm being extra cautious.

Well let see... The MSRP on this car was about $45k. In order to get the payment down to $475 a month including tax (LA County was 8.75% last year... went up to 9% this month), the cap cost had to be around $39,500, give or take a few hundred (~60% residual; .00125 MF)

Thinking back to September (the last month that still had sales support for 2012s), there was about $2,000 worth of possible rebates if you qualify for everything. And if he got the car at invoice (also possible due to 2012 close out) and put $500 down, then I think it is possible to get the monthly payment that low.

That's a great deal... Better get a pro opinion first, though... You never know if he crunched it or its had some lemon gremlins...

+1 if the car is in good shape (not excesive milleage, damage, etc) that looks like a good deal. If you don't take it let me know I might flight all the way to LA to try to get it

Why is he getting rid of it? Did he say?

I still have my F30 available in SoCal for lease assumption as well . Moving to Chicago and would rather not bring it with me as I would have ordered it differently if I had known I would be relocating. Of course, it isn't as cheap a payment but I didn't put anything down either...
