My peeps spoke to their peeps and the next printing will have the ATS removed. I'll mention your Audi concern.

I don't think concrete will be necessary.

Iron bars should be more than sufficient.

Umm the bimmer is still more. The premium plus is the middle tier where prestige is the top. I think that the comparo is right when you're putting it up against a 51k 335.

I got my issue a few days ago but hadn't read it yet. Now that I know it is a collectors item I intend to keep it in a safe deposit box.

I am confused why they have your quotes in a 335 article. They had asked me for quotes, but specifically for an upcoming 328 article. Your words included were not specific to the 335 though...just a bit odd that they typically want model specific feedback.

The "other" here is the S4, not the A4. The S4 has only two trims, Premium Plus and Prestige.

I thought it was for a 328i article as well, provided my exact spec too.

Perhaps they felt my feedback about size and experience modes were applicable to all F30's.

I think your quotes are applicable to all F30s since they primarily were references to size and suspension which are identical for both 328 and 335.

Agreed, and at least the first quote is made in a context clearly referring to the 3 in general and not the 335 specifically. The second quote is a different story, but it still seems applicable to both, and after all, when the journalistic standards of "serious" media have sunk so low, we can forgive Autoweek with taking such small liberties

When did the f30 335i start pulling 13.9 quarter miles? The '07 335i was a 13.3-13.6 quarter mile car bone stock - didn't realize it had gotten that much slower on the acceleration end....

How is quoting "the typical 3 Series owner is getting older, getting wider" a good image for BMW?

In a few short months we'll have the 320i to pick on. It's like moving from the nerd table over to the cool kids table in the high school cafeteria .

Autoweek also pulls numbers that are a bit off compared to the other mags. Motorweek too, often has bad et's but high traps which indicate wheelspin.

The difference between .3 and .9 seconds is simply not perceptable to human beings.

Just saying...

I mean I know people go all sorts of gaga over these numbers, but the reality is that you could be in both cars when these tests were run, and you'd never even notice the difference.

We run into this with software development. People go nuts if some of our UI components test out to be .3 seconds slower, but the reality is that the end user will never notice it anyway.

Plus, you could run the exact same tests with these cars again (an '07 335 and a '13 335) and the numbers might completely flip the other way...
