New Bimmer Owner
Hello to everyone.
I don't normally spend a lot of time on forums, so please excuse any missteps regarding forum etiquette... That being said... this is my first BMW. I recently purchased a 99 740i sport in Anthracite Gray that is in pristine condition. This car was intended primarily for my wife to drive, but after putting several thousand miles on it during the last three weeks, I have come to an obvious conclusion. We will be needing another. I have always owned (and loved) large vehicles and have been driving large SUV's exclusively for the last ten years. I currently have an pair of Chevy 3/4 ton Suburbans and a Ford one ton diesel pickup, which are fantastic trucks in almost every respect. But, my wife puts on a LOT of miles, and 10 mpg just gets old after a while. Anyway, I'm looking forward to being a part of this community and learning everything I can along the way.
