Thank you!

Been away lately...So here are some recent stuff that has been done to the car;

Engine compartment and underhood areas freshly painted

headliner down, sunroof out

Previous metal sunroof lying beside new glass sunroof to be installed

newly recovered sunroof slider, A, B, C pillars;

and of course, a newly recovered headliner!

Newly recovered Parchement Leather Sport Seats with OEM Seat Heaters!

New Tri-spoke sport steering wheel bought from Tainik in Germany
(Slightly thicker with thumb rests and tri-color stitching);

Finally got my new fender liners from BMW!
(they had been backordered for nearly two years!)

Stacked Intercooler and radiator back together and in the car

redesigned airflow routing for intake plumbing installed:

cardboard template for Procharger bracket

Newly refinished valve covers are on

Here are the engine covers to match the valve covers.... pure SICKNESS!
(Painted in OEM silver and Pearl Bronze then a nice shiney clearcoat)

an obligitory pic of my performance target
(Rodney's 500hp supercharged B7 - This thing is stupid fast!):

Found an original Alpina front bumper/spoiler...
Thinking seriously about getting it to go with my Alpina wheels!

....that's about it for now!

Ok... I just read my way threw this start to finish..

OMG.. WoW...

Im soooo far behind.. Im a year from a supercharger at least just about to get on coil overs/vader seats.
Ive always dreamed of a pro-charged BMW, but i had a kenne bell s/c mustang.
That would be equally as cool i think.. Makes max hp/tq all the way from 2-6000rpm!

Now did i read that right or are you making 400 whp on lowering springs?
Because I'm only making near 400bhp and it feels like a boat picking itself up on the water.. Your car must snort and rear when it takes off!

Also, im sure that B7 is fast. I once drove one briefly..

But heads up. From a dig.. It just wont leave like us...

Were comparatively lighter, the 3.15 lsd kicks ass and ate cars put down the power well with a 6 speed.

May have to work hard on the far end but for the first 1/8 mile he cant just walk away.
The 760li tho i hear is like 660 hp v12 bi-turbo? Makes the alpina seem silly.

And lastly. IMO, ACS Type 1's are the holly grail of rims. Especially authentics.

I rolled an e36 with a set, still cant live with myself.. 1 survived still got it.. Never found a set since!!!!!

Anyways amazing build, truly inspirational.. I often feel like im the only one pushing the e34's boundaries on what it can do.

Nice to see someone who is way ahead, probably going pffffft.. Well thats a start. Lol

Build looks great please keep us posted!

Looks good but Idk about the whole alpina thing. I think you've already got a rare msport for a reason. Why muck it up and make it a wanna be alpina?

You said you were hitting the limit of the V2 s/c ya?

Yet the motors got more to give safely in stock trim? Or did you do interals..?

Im wondering what is the safe limit "you think" is on stock internals..? Your making like 460 BHP witch i kinda thought was the border of whats ok.
But id like to see more, much more haha

Gix put a lot of time into that car. I've followed his build since he started it back on BF.C
I though I tend to agree with M540fella.
The best thing about the e34 model is the little subtle things that can make it stand out.
Full Alpina clothing is dope. But your car is already as individual as it gets.
BTW see if Michael has any more alpina lips left.

This way if you do pull the trigger on the front valance and don't like. Your not out of 400-600 clams.

Thanks for the compliments guys. This build is taking awhile and things are constantly evolving. The motor has stock internals at the moment, but I am considering building another engine with an M5 crank, custom rods, pistons and some other goodies...
I also have another set of rare wheels that are being built to custom specs... We will have to wait and see if they trump the Alpinas.

My rule of thumb is a motor can make about 50% more power on stock internals..

This would be to say 450~ BHP is achievable safely..

You are making more already lol.. What do you believe is safe from our m60?

I can change the jets and spray it anytime i want lol..

I've spraid 100shot all day every day at 210k no issue!

So i bet 150 is safe, thats about where you are..

How much more we thinking? Your leading the way on testing its boundries for me!

Thank you for that.

Since you are in NC too, can you paint it black find black interior and let me have it for....well ever, please!!!!! Don't even have to do any more work ill take it as-is.
It truly is a beautiful car, mine may be far from that good looking, but us NC guys should get together and check out each others cars, just not mine LOL. I love what you are doing, and i will find a glass moon roof for mine now that i know it was an option.

I believe that some guy in Latvia is making 600rwhp with a turbo on stock internals, so I feel like 500rwhp is erring on the "safe" side of things. To your previous point, the B7 makes 500bhp, my original Vortex setup was 400rwhp which should have translated to about 460bhp? Lighter chassis?.... hmmmm, you may have a strong point! Unfortunately, I will never know if the previous setup would have spanked the Alpina, but I feel like the new one will give him a good run for his money!

The skins are from a leather upholster that works with SneedSpeed on all their restorations.

500-600hp stock internals huh.. Makes me wanna try haha..
I think it would have gone door to door at least!

There is no doubt a 500bhp e34/6 will walk near anything..

Even full fat its only 3,450 pounds.

Sweet car this!! I love what you've done to it - looks oh so gorgeous, especially given the mileage its done. Theres others out there that look like tweaked 'wanna-be ricer-heads' rides, & whilst its 'each to their own' on modding stuff, this is just clean, subtle & classy!!

Can you remember what part numbers your Vogtland springs were by chance??

You can't really make 500-600 HP on lowering springs man.. Come on.

My 400 is good enough challenge for the chassis on springs! And just went to coil overs before i add more speed.

I'm currently running Vogtlands and adjustable Konis with no issues whatsoever. The car is very smooth and planted. The only reason I can find to go to a coilover setup is to have adjustable ride height.

...having said that, coilovers are on my to do list, but getting the new supercharger on and tuned is my first priority.

Adjustable ride height?

Thats all you see in them? First thats a huge benefit, secondly you get a leap in handling!!!!!

You also can adjust camber/dampening and spring rates.. Witch i use for racing!

On lowering spring with even 400hp the car waisted far to much energy picking itself up on the soft springs, rather than using it to hurtle you forward!
Its not just how much power you've got, its how you use it..

No offense, i just think its kind of a joke your build is this far along or that powerful on lowering springs..!!!!!
I already have choose to go to them because 500hp in dangerous if you use it without. The chassis really is only good for about 400rwhp before upgrades!

I just cant see how the rest of car has spared no expense, yet gets a cheap pair of springs like any other m20 525 auto??? The cars to nice for them!

Plenty of guys run well over 500hp on just lowering springs. He has koni adjustable shocks and vogtlands (a progressive spring, one of the best on the market). Most e30 racecars just use springs and shocks.
He said he's gonna get coilovers. He's in the middle of a 10k+ build and hasn't driven his car in probably a year. Give the guy a break.
