Hey everyone!

I have purchased my first BMW and now I understand why people pay more for certain cars. I really enjoy driving my 98 BMW 540i.

The owner did not have a working key fob. I replaced the battery and tried to reinitiate with the help of your post. However, it did not work. My red light on the key fob never comes on? I can use the valet key or this key fob manually. I live in the South and this is really stopping me from opening the door for my girlfriend. I need some help.

Should I purchase a key for the circuit board? Place the circuit board in my key with the CHIP that is very important and I would have my fix?

Thanks for the help!
