X6 E71 / E72 (2008 - 2014)
The BMW X6 luxury crossover went on sale in April 2008 as a 2009 model year. BMW referes to the X6 as a Sports Activity Coupe (SAC) as it combines the attributes of an SUV (high ground clearance, xDrive and all-weather ability) with the stance, styling and roof line shape of a coupe. The E71 X6 was built off the E70 X5 (2007 - 2013) platform at BMW's Spartanburg, SC plant. Total worldwide sales were just over 235,000, sold mostly to the BRIC countries. US total sales was 34,082 vehicles.

X6 21" OEM non-runflat tire options

Hi guys!

I'm sure this question has been asked before but I couldn't seem to find some detailed answers anywhere.

I am looking for some non-runflat tires for 21" OEM wheels . 285/35R21 & 325/30R21.

REARS: Only things I've found for the rear are Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2.

FRONTS: Can't find any wheels for the fronts unless I move up to a 295/30 wheel but unsure if i'll have rubbing issues, let alone if they'll even fit the rim. Also, I'm running into problems finding front tires with the correct "weight load index." Found some Michelins that were rated 102Y, but needed to be at least 105Y.... or does anyone know if i NEED that exact load index number?

Any advice would be most appreciated.

Sorry... lots of questions. THANK YOU IN ADVANCE! =)

After a ton of research I found only 3 companies that make tires for this size with the correct weight loads: Dunlop RF (which everyone seems to hate), Pirelli RF (better than Dunlop. but still RF), and Michelin NON run flats (HORRAY!) but NOBODY can seem to order them. I contacted Michelin directly and they do indeed have them in their warehouse, yet, none of the tire shops near me can order them. They say Michelin keeps telling them they're out of stock, which leaves me, out of luck. Oh well.

I did, however, find Dunlop NON-runflats in Europe. Just cant find anyone to ship them to me. Safety regulations I assume. Oh well.

Just some info for you guys. =)

Wow - that's a real dilemma. And the RFTs that are available in those sizes are pretty expensive, too! Is the production that limited and what's made is shipped outside the USA ??

No clue, but that could be why. All i know it's a real pain in the ass! Haha! For 4 new tires it's going to set me back about $2300. There goes my wife's Christmas present. Maybe I should have stuck with the 20" rims.
