Got it. Didn't realize the "sw" was for wagon.
I echo the comment above about there being no 2wd wagon.

We usually have pricing 60 days or so prior to start of production.

Thanks for all the good info Jon. Is there an order guide for the 2014 5 series out yet? The order guide you posted did not have any of the 5 series models.

This sucks.
I have a 335i scheduled for ED June 2013, and I was hoping to change the order for a Diesel. But I guess ED for Diesel will start around August since production starts in July. Can somebody chime in? |

328 X Drive Diesel Touring
Jon, do you know which diesel from Europe this would equate to, or is it new? 320d or 330d?
Thanks. |

So looking ahead to next spring (when my e90 lease expires - late May) and assuming the timing will be similar next year, could I put in an order in late May and expect to receive a '15 model year F30? My plan is to wait until the last possible moment to order, extend my lease and take delivery some time during the mid/late summer. Also, any chance the 2015 F30 has LCI?

Z4 BMW Individual Contrasting Hardtop - 3WZ
Jon,
In notes, it is stated that 3WZ BMW Individual Contrasting Hardtop must be ordered with 490. What is 490? Thank you in advance.

Attached is the same SOP-EOP document. However, I have adjusted the formatting and fonts so it is slightly clearer (dropped grid lines, etc).
It's good to see a 535d. Also it seems BMW is finally going to lineup F15 X5 diesel production with petrol production (for MY2015). The staggered switchover always seemed unnecessary.

Option 490 could also be BMW Individual paint finish which would make better sense when ordered with contrasting hardtop. I'll be patient and wait for bmwusa to update their website to confirm what 490 really means.

The only thing confirmed is 328d will be 2.0 liter I4 diesel. It will NOT be the same engine as 320d due to the obvious emission difference.

I looked into it some more in ETK, and indeed 490 has another meaning: "U490 SPECIAL PAINT."

Everyone on enthusiast boards seem to be wanting a diesel wagon (not me), but whenever a car company makes one, nobody buys it in the real world. BMW is not stupid. They know americans have been brainwashed to think that they need AWD or they will DIE. So that's how they will promote this wagon. People will still not buy it because the wagon crowd is generally not the BMW type with the deep pockets. More like the Toyota and Subaru type. Last edited by bt1337; 02-04-2013 at 04:03 PM. |
