535 vs 550 company car

My company car (2011 535) is up for renewal and my allowance is 68k. Trying to decide between a 535 with many options or a 550 with few options. I will only have the car for 30 months so putting a lot of my own money in a 550 is not necessarily what I want to do. Thoughts from the group?
I am leaning towards a lesser optioned 550.

It all depends on how much of the extra goodies (options) you use on a daily basis. If you don't use all the goodies hen ill say go with the 550, else load up the 535 with all the options and have a blast. I personally like the growl/feel of the V8 engine

A 68K 550 would be limited to only a few packages and options. Basically you could get the Executive package and then you would need to make difficult decisions from there: Do you go with M Sport + Sport Auto Transmission? Or do you get the Driver Assistance package to get the side and top view cameras? I would want both of those but that puts you over the 68K limit.

I like options because they make the vehicle feel more luxurious and worth the cost. I love the additional power of the 550, but my biz partner has a 535 and it definitely has enough power to be fun. So I'd go with a more loaded 535.

This says it well. I love the goodies, but I know some people could care less about {insert your favorite gizmo}. I did both V8+goodies, but if I had to choose, would probably pick 535 loaded over a 550. But YMMV.

For $68K, I would go with the 535i M-Sport with all the goodies.

I personally would choose a loaded up 535i hands down. However, considering you've already had the 535i, the 550i with even bare-bones options can become a consideration.

So basically, it doesn't really matter what we say. Once you've driven the 550, you won't go back.

So I predict this: You'll go with the 550 and spend a bit of your own money to go over the 68K limit to get the desired options anyway

That V8 twin turbo is hard to resist, especially on the highway

$68k invoice 550 with a lot but not all options, half that shyte you'll never use or care about anyway. Remember, the 550 comes standard with a lot of stuff like MC seats and NAV.

Alright, so a very nice 550 is do-able for $68K. Here is how I'd configure it. With the loyalty incentive, the OP would be at $67,530, which leaves $470 on the table for dealer profit over invoice. If he could get other incentives, maybe there is another option he could add like Nappa leather or something. 4-zone can be special ordered for $500.

I didn't even test drive the 'beast' a.k.a. 550i when I was in the market, 'cause I surmised once I drive it there will be no going back to a lesser model .

Get the 550i when someone else is paying for it!

If I was in a position where I already have had a 535i, enjoyed it and now either have to or want to return it (sounds very far fetched that one can even consider doing so at this time in my own drivership of said car ), and had a $68K "allowance" to get into another F10.... If I could get a 550i with M Sport AND a few necessary to me options, I'd say why not and go with that. Afterwards you'll have a great basis to weigh both cars against each other on.
