So lets not base things off this old announcement.
So, we have an old announcement and the ordering guide (ARTTI) that says it will have the new Nav Pro and a rumor that says it won't, who knows what to believe anymore! Guess I like my glass half full and I'm sure we all hope its true.

In Japan, I ordered X3 35i a few weeks ago. Later, my dealer salesman called to me it will have a modifieid navigation. I thought it may be BMW navigation pro. Then I searched National BMW Website and found X3 catalogue. There are some photo of BMW Navigation Pro which has black background screen and full colored HUD. So I think 2014 X3 have newer navi and HUD, etc. Additionally, BMW snap-in adaptor for iphone5 is now saled in Germany. It will be released in June, USA. But in Japan, BMW connected drive is not supported yet. I have a question for USA member of this forum, Is it right that 2014 X3 have BMW navigation pro, new iDrive and updated HUD? What do we think about the catalogue photo?

Some dealers say 2014 will have updated Nav/iDrive and some dealers (including mine) say that it will not. It's an open question right now and the only way to know is when someone takes delivery of a 2014.

The 800 number for me says still is holding at April 3 for build completion. Maybe delays are for getting more parts from Germany for Nav Pro installation? Does BMW look at these forums?

If one looks at the trend, the trend is slightly favoring the updated iDrive and Nav. I would put it at 60% likely. However we shall know shortly.

Well I just read the entire thread..... I think the new nav will be included.

I just decided I need a titanium silver/ chestnut x3. I'm going to look at the MY14 ordering guide- this price increase sucks Not to mention that playing with the online configurator was a waste of time. I work 3 minutes from Elmhurst BMW, so hopefully I can strike a deal with them.

The 2014 packages are better and more cost effective.

Thanks for the PM Yea, I was looking at the packages and like what I see. The X3 allows me to change up the daily driver a little bit while still offering chestnut leather (I have it on my 3 series and can't say good bye).

I would say first deliveries should start around Apr 20th (for PCD might be earlier). My estimated completion of production is for 4/2/13 (tomorrow) and I hope to get it in three weeks.

Sorry guys for the delay, here is the email text I promised to post,

###################################

Dear ****,

This production number (#######) is a new model or new model year and we cannot offer a delivery date at this time. EPA and CARB Certifications are issued by the government and must be obtained for every model every year, regardless of any change (or not) in the production of the vehicle. The vehicle will remain at the VDC/VPC until approvals are all holds have been removed. The vehicle will not ship to The BMW Performance Center or your BMW Retail Center.

Please inform your client that we will contact you with a delivery date as soon as all EPA and CARB Certifications have been received by BMWNA and the Monroney/EPA and Release holds have been removed. Should the client wish to cancel you will need to submit a cancellation form which can be found on CENTERNET.

Thank you for your patience!

My CA notified me a couple of hours ago, the earliest available date for delivery at PCD is 24th for me. Very excited for PCD.

It looks like bmw might have received the epa and all holds removed.

My X3 is scheduled for completion on April 4. It should arrive at the suburban Chicago dealer around April 21. My CA reiterated today that the sales manager spoke with the BMW District Manager 10 days ago and was told that the 2014 X3's will have the updated iDrive and Nav. We'll see shortly.

I ordered a 2014 X3 on 3/25 and my dealership has assured me it will come with the new nav AND the full color HUD. I feel about 99% sure it will have the new nav, but only 50/50 on the new HUD. We shall see!

I feel better about the HUD. the production code switched v last year and is now the same as the sixer.

The Nav should be upgraded to justify the price increase of $650 for the 2014 Nav + enhanced USB as compared to the 2013. As a result the HUD costs less so that might indicate no updated HUD. Again, just my thinking.

Are you seeing that online, or was that update from the dealer? I am trying to track mine online. For the past few weeks it didn't know my vin. Today it knew it but doesn't know the model, only the color. I haven't been able to figure out how to track it online.

For my order it seems like the online tracking is updated slower than the status provided by the customer service. As per CS the production completed today and is now being readied for port of exit. So I would suggest use the CS tracking.

I called BMW Customer Relations to find the status. Today I am able to see my vehicle model and color in MYBMW.

The automated line states mine is in paint shop with an estimated completion date of tomorrow.

My BMW also shows the correct car details now.

Per bmwvin.com my x3 has navigation professional. End of story! It was built today.

Interestingly it doesn't say advanced real time traffic.

You almost got me excited. My X3 vin on BMWVin also gives Nav Pro. Then I entered the VIN of my 2011 328i just to see what comes up. Same description of the Nav Pro with code S609A. See attached image and note the production date on the top.

So either this website is inaccurate or there is no Nav update. Sorry no end of story yet.
