After market wheels thread.....?

Greetings,

I am getting the itch to look for aftermarket wheels as per one of my previous threads...and was wondering if there is a link to any aftermarket wheel threads on this forum, but I cant find one. Winter is almost over...I HOPE!

If not, this is a request for anyone with after market wheels to post your pics please

Here is what I can tell you.

The F10 forum overall is very fond of the BMW M sport wheel (style 351).

It seems to me that most folks prefer after market wheels that appear to be stock. i.e., they don't stray to far from good BMW styling.

The best overall wheels from both a price point and appearance tend to be the Avant Garde wheels.

Specifically the M368 and M355 wheels.

The Avant Garde wheels are cast, not forged, but are of the same quality as BMW OEM wheels. A set costs around $1500-$2000.

If you search bimmerfest or google images for M368 or M355 wheels you will find plenty of photos.

I'm fond of BBS RGRs myself. I kept the wheels when I sold my car, so I plan to put them on my 650.

another set of wheels ? What are you looking for ? Forged or low pressure cast.

Low Pressure is fine Steve....looking at Vossens right now.....I love my BMW 311's, bulky, simple big five spoke and easy to keep clean and to be honest, I just called a friend of mine to see if he can get them polished for me because that is the look I really like. If I can get my current summer wheels polished properly, that might sustain my boredom...LOL. I am not a fan of the shade of grey or else I love the wheels...

Any update on your M5 or Panarama?

Panny GTS is a no go. After adding up the options I wanted, it comes out to $130K + taxes and that's way too much for me on a car that I may keep for 2-3 yrs.

Settled for a M5 (Have it for 7 months already).
It was a major pain to shop for winter wheels, in particular 19" as none of the aftermarket wheels (even now) will clear the M5 brakes. Eventually, I have to order a set of 19" stock wheels.

For your wheels, I like your summer wheels. Vossen is average, imo.

there are more Wheel pics on 5Post. I will chime in again and say the CSL Reps are only a tiny bit dated and still look good on any BMW......even our F10s. They are cast and cheapish but easily replaceable if you ruin one.

My heart bleeds for you, you had to settle for an M5? LOL Congrats, what color did you get? Enjoy send me a picture
