E82 / E87 / E88 1 Series (2008 - 2013)
BMWs throw back to the iconic 2002, with a renewed form and function. The smallest car in BMW's line up but still packs a punch. Available in coupe or convertible, powered by a naturaly aspirated inline 6 in the 128 or the turbo twin power inline 6 rocket sled 135.

Hoping for a VIN Service History....

Hello. New member (posted earlier on the New Member Introduction page)

Saw that some of the members here have ability to run a BMW VIN for servicing history, was hoping as a first-time user someone might be able to tell me what the history of the vehicle is: WBAUN93539VE94630?? One week in on the new 2009 135i Convertible !

Thanks if so !

I believe that only the dealers have access to full service history (oil changes, mechanical repairs, etc.)
The other guys (i.e. carfax) can only give you details about insurance claims and DMV data.

If you're interested in the details about what options the factory installed in the car, you can try bmwvin.com

Just stop in at any BMW dealer and ask them to run the history; probably best to go to the closest one to you or the one you plan to take it to for service.

Funny, I just went through this. And just to let you know, the BMW dealer said they would not release the history report with authorization of the owner. Although this got a bit complicated because the current owner was not the one who appears on history report (for obvious reasons). Luckily the current owner is a dealership (Ford) and they were able to obtain it. I can understand no one wants to release any information anymore and can appreciate this for reasons of privacy and security. Just a heads up.

I've never had a problem with this. If it's not obvious from sales/service receipts, or previous owner info. just call your BMW head office and get the selling dealer. If it's a local car it shouldn't be hard from there. I've gotten the service records by showing the car's ownership and telling them to black out any previous owner info. to protect privacy. Never a problem.
