BMW 5 Series M 2015 In Depth Review Interior Exterior

Hey guys, I am Alaatin61 and I have a hobby YouTube channel that is devoted to filming cars, altough I film a lot of cars. Recently I filmed the new 2015 BMW 5 Series M Facelift. The car I filmed was in the Netherlands. I want to share this video with all of you because you are as passionate about BMW as I am.

Cool. So jealous of the cloth/alcantara seats you can get in Europe!

Curious what the possible advantage or attractiveness factor there could be having a cloth seat vs. leather?

Sport seats we don't get here, as well.

I think the Alcantara is probably more comfortable and you don't slide around as much as you would as leather. Also, it has advantages if you live in warmer climates.

It is interesting that one can attain aluminium satin window trim easily with M Sport in Europe. In the USA I doubt whether up to 1% of the M Sport cars have this trim. To my eyes it looks better than Shadowline when the car exterior is a dark colour eg imperial blue or black sapphire. If I'm not mistaken, in USA models one can delete Shadowline and opt for satinized aluminium as a BMW Individual choice but of course that would be an extra expense. I would have thought they'd offer it as a no cost option like in Europe.

I see a glaring conflict in pairing a 520i engine with the heavy 5 series. If the buyer is so economy conscious he should opt for the 530d or 535d. I was shocked and amused when I sighted the 520i badge. Is Europe really that stingy?

I think it looks and feels nicer than bmws Dakota leather. Cooler in the summer and not as cold in the winter. The alcantara gives the interior a sportier look too.

Nothing new- the rest of the world has gotten large cars with small engines for many years. I believe the torquier 520d is actually more popular than the 520i (and I believe the 520d is the biggest seller in Europe). Combination of high gas prices, displacement taxes in certain countries, higher vat tax, etc. a 520 there probably costs more than a 528 or even 535 here

The 3 series is available as a 316- same engine as the mini

So one concludes that you have to be wealthier to buy a BMW with a decent engine in Europe!
